It is partly mixed with the brickfall a4 since large chunks of bricks were found in this feature. The majority of the texture is very soft and lies above the more compacted reddish accumulation f24. f 5 B11 The southern internal mud-brick wall of structure a1, that runs from SW to NE. The wall measures 70 cm in width and 3m in length and extends outside the square k5 into the previously excavated area A10. It is assumed that this structure continued and was previously excavated. The remaining wall retains a terraced look and has been heavily eroded at the top with the most damage at the edge (in line with the slope of the area). It appears juxtaposed to the southern wall f142 and does not show any sign of bonding with the eastern wall f4. Only a few courses of bricks are seen in section, resting on the accumulation f24. f 23 B11 Fill inside i2, the Khabur jar found next to the southern wall running S-E. It contains pottery and animal bones with one human tooth inside. f 24 B11 Accumulation within a1, it lies underneath f3 and over the thin ^aa f50. It appears partly mixed with bricks and is medium compacted. It can be seen in section below the lower line of bricks in the walls f4 & f7. f 25 B11 The western portion of the brickfall part of the massive a4 brickfall. It abuts the eastern wall f4 of a1. .rd L714 f 27 B11 The most western part of the brickfall (a4). This feature abuts the f114 (wall) on the NW side and the walls of a1 on the South part of the locus. .rd L721 f 28 A01 f0115 .rd L716 f 32 B11 Fill of pit f31, which includes ashy layers, pebbles and sherds f 34 B11 SW part of the brickfall a4 that becomes f25 in k5. .rd L721 f 35 B11 compacted accumulation found outside the wall f10 of a2. It is the same as f147, the accumulation next to the floor f133 in k2, and spreads out in the area including in-between walls f10 and f132. .rd L723 f 36 B11 Medium compacted floor seen only in the eastern area of k1 with only a small portion visible. .rd L714 f 37 B11 Thick melted brick layer covering the brickfall a4 in this locus and sloping down westwards. It abuts the wall f114. Inclusions of pebbles and small pieces of brick can be seen in the matrix. .ri lR f 38 B11 This layer is a series of small layers or bands found in k1 retaining a pinkish coloring. These layers contain merging boundaries and can best be seen in the North section. These layers are also the first non-brickfall material that we encountered since they are located at the bottom of the slope in k1 with the thickest brickfall in k2 and k3. .ri sV B11 4-5 cm ashy layer below the brickfall and visible only in the Eastern part of the locus, where it clearly separates from the brickfall in a series of thin accumulations below. This layer extends underneath the grayish layer f40, found in a small area next to the NW corner of locus. .rd L721 .ri lR f 43 B11 This layer is a series of small layers or bands found in k1 retaining a pinkish coloring. In the most southern part it is covered by the gray layer f40. .rd L712 f 51 B11 A floor showing scattered patches of well preserved plaster. It lies underneath accumulation f50 and has quite an irregular surface, particularly in the middle area where it forms some bumps then slopes down in correspondence of an indentation f59, which we assume to be contemporary to the floor. Another similar deep depression can be seen next to the North wall f7, to the presumed NW corner of a1. Those indentations were probably made in order to continue to house the large stone components associated to the earlier floor f62. A square mud brick resting on the floor f51 and likely aligned to the two limestone stones would seem to belong to the same installation. Two Khabur jars i2 and i4 are also associated to this floor. The first one seems to rest on an indentation of the floor; the second one standing in the NW corner of a1, rests directly on the floor. .rd L714 .ri lR f 57 B11 The top layer of soil found in k1, due to the contamination of this feature it has been removed quickly utilizing a large pick. .ri sV B11 Soft loam with roots visible containing sherd inclusions. Compacted soil with a fine texture, seen in the N and E section of locus. f 117 B11 Thin reddish layer with merging boundaries found in the Northeast side of k1. .rd L723 f 118 B11 Installation consisting of four large stones shaping like an "L". The first three stones falls in line with the stone foundation of the North wall f7 of the one room structure a1. The fourth angular stone is parallel to the opposite angular one of the same foundation f172 with which probably formed a doorway. ;Elevation:@top 8774 sloping to 8772, @bottom 8760 sloping to 8760. The pebble floor comes to the stone foundation of the NW wall f7 of a1. It belongs to the open area (road, courtyard) included between this wall and the house a1. ;K08 silty small pebble and sherd inclusions f 124 B11 Thin accumulation between the two floors, f36 and f121 in the Eastern part of k1. .rd L721 f 145 B11 reddish accumulation between the floors ^fa f133 and ^fc f146, extending mostly in k2, seen in the Eastern part of the East section .rd L712 f 148 K05 dark gray, reddish
