Currently the pit is 130 cm deep and appears to be the end of the pit since the soil has changed from a soft gray to brown orange color. There are also several white cobbles at the bottom. f 272 B10 ^pt C01 yesterday while scraping the area this small pit was noticed. The gray fill inside stood out in texture and color from the surrounding matrix and was completely excavated today. The fill contained some pottery and bones. The bottom of the pit was relayed but when checked the angles are incorrect, tomorrow we will remeasure this pit. f 273 B10 ^pt .bk A16 .fl M908LR5.J .fd N304LR2.J***M908LR5.J .rd M908 f 272 B11 small round pit located on the south end of k207, part of the pit is in the south section with a diameter of 50cm and 12cm deep. The material inside consisted of a softer ashy fill with sand inclusions. The eastern side of the pit has a harder face, which feels like brick with an orange coloring but does not extend further out. The bottom of the pit has large sand granules visible. f 273 B11 This pit is located 15 cm NE of pit f272 and measures 50cm diameter, 18cm deep. The fill in this pit was harder than f272 with less ash. The bottom of the pit contains clay inclusions. C01 We completely excavated this small pit today, which included pottery and some bones. The pit was relayed but when plotted with AutoCAD it did not plot in the right place. Tomorrow we will measure this pit again.
