Another wall, f142, runs alongside f5. One may have been constructed as a buttress for the other, but the building sequence and relationship of these two walls is unclear. Two large Khabur vessels and several human bones were found inside a1. The structure is likely an eroded burial. A12 v0058 A12 v0043a ;B11 room *** A16 plate 502 ;***Based on comparison of argument with template in v58, identified the walls discussed in the argument but indicated only with placeholder notations ("f_") as f5 in k5 and f10 in k6. These identifications should be double-checked by excavator to ensure that these walls were in fact the ones intended for discussion. Input file has been modified to reflect changes. ;***Confusion in section "Recovery/Assignment", entry 2001-7-13 by sV -- "The second internal wall f5, measures 70cm in width and 350cm in length and does not bond with walls f4 and f142. Therefore, it would seem that this was built at a later time than f5, likely to support the external one." What does "this" refer to -- f5?? a 2 A12 v0058 sm One room structure in locus k6. This is the earliest of the structures in k6 and belongs to phase 5b. a 3 A12 v0004a sm House structure whose walls are in loci k7 and k8. The three plastered walls were initially discovered simply by scraping and cleaning the topsoil, after which the excavation of the entire structure passed to the excavators of A15. a 4 ;sm Thick layer of brickfall which extends over loci k1, k2, k3, k4, k5, k6, k7, and k8. Everything contemporary with this brickfall layer has been dated to phase 5c. Since this is an overall aggregate, a single view has not been selected. F99 Brickfall a4 covers walls f72 and f73, accumulation f74 and layer f76. ;B11 *** A16 plate 501 a 5 sm Series of channels and holes under and to the north of wall f52 in locus k4. These were originally interpreted as a drain installation, but after excavating the area it became apparent that these holes and channels were in fact animal holes. The original interpretation was then abandoned. ;***No image a 6 A12 v0044 A12 v0048 sm Vaulted structure in loci k2 and k3 containing scattered animal bones. This structure is thought to have been a burial or perhaps a cistern, but further excavation will be required in order to resolve the question. lc k2 a 7 ;***No image ;***Summary perhaps unnecessary because aggregate is clearly explained already -- present definition is "bones found in a1-possible burial" ;***Under G09 -- a11 typo for q11? Duplicates not fixed until question can be resolved. a 8 A12 v0046 sm One room structure in loci k4 and k106 composed of one mudbrick wall, f52, and two low walls of packed mud, f80 and f93. The structure opens to the S-SE, at which point the western wall f80 connects with the square brick pillar f89. A pot smash of a cooking vessel, i30, and a tannur, f102, were found inside the structure, which was likely used as an open-air cooking area. a 9 A12 v0040 sm One room burial structure in locus k105 containing an adult skeleton. Three mudbrick walls were identified on the west, south and east. The inner sides of the western and eastern walls have collapsed in a way which suggests that the tomb may have been vaulted. Grave goods found in the burial include two silver earrings (i33, i36), ceramic vessel i34, and bronze bucket i29. k 205 ;***Duplicate entries under "Description/Count" starting with "f250 pit view" made by lR on 2002-9-29 not found in input file -MX12-99.J k 7W7 ;***No data in file -- delete? k 7WK7 ;***No data in file -- delete?
