Description/Count
Description 2010-12-29cJC Ashy red accumulation associated with the use in front of the apron during the brickfall phase. See v100.

Recovery/Assignment and the Record
Argument 2005-8-7mH The ashy, red accumulation f150 in front of the steps of the apron f131 could perhaps be associated with and related to the same activities that the large, flat stone f154 was used.
Problems in recording 2005-8-21mH There is a mistake in the top elevation of this feature and by extention also in the bottom elevation of f149. One possible explanation is that the elevation of the measuring rod was recorded inaccurately while writing down these elevations. With the recording m3955 +52 - 124 the bottom elevation of f149 and the starting elevation of f150 is 89.18, which is 12 higher than the starting elevation of f149 and thus cannot be correct. If, however, the instrument hight was 141 cm (as suggested by f150 q395) instead of 124 cm as recorded, the bottom elevation of f149 and the starting elevation of f150 would turn out to be 89.01 m, which seems more accurate. With this solution one problem still remains: with instrument of 141 q395 ( f150) was then 33 cm thick, which seems too much, but could perhaps we be accurate.

Deposition
H99.NDepostn 2005-8-18mH jO, gB, and I discussed the depositional history of J2 this morning. f150 in k4, f171 in k13, f174 in k101 and hopefully additional features in k4 indicate a period of periodic, but rather intense use in front of the apron f131 and oval wall f128. The accumulation containing sandy lenses and located in front of the oval wall f128 and the apron f131, and above the before-mentioned features suggest that while this area was not abandoned during this period, its use was sporadic and consisted mainly of people walking by. Above this layer was another layer of occasional use. This time, however, the use was different and perhaps even slightly more intense as the tannurs ( f9 in k14, f72 in k85, and f85 in k2) found suggest.

Stratigraphic reasons 2008-3-5pC f150 is at the same elevation of f171 and f174, which are area of use in front of the apron and wall during Mittani period: pottery dates the feature
Typological reasons 2005-9-14mH Phase 5 or Phase 6
Other reasons 2005-9-14mH Active use of the area in front of the steps
2011-5-16cJC Use of the area after the brickfall 1 (during process of brickfall) with scattered intensive use, burning, ash, hard patches, etc.
2011-11-21cJC At the level of the small curtain walls. See v115. Although this feature is discussed as possibly similar to f174 and f171, it is not. At the time of the notes the excvators had not yet seen the slope of the accumulations near the revetment wall. These feature sloped down away from the wall and therefore accumulations such as f150 are coming up, filling in the sloped area, with the top elevations the same as EDIII accumulations closer to the wall in some cases.
I99.NTime 2005-9-12mKB this feature is not in the statigraphic column but is equal stratigraphicaly and by elevation to f171 and f174. Starting elevation of f150 89.01, f171 88.98, f174 88.97. several Khabur type painted sherds, 1 possible Mittani jar rim, 2 Mittani disk bases, so the date should probably be Phase h6-J h6JPA (but may be Phase h5-J h5J <, see text note P912). Earlier sherds include 1 FC conical cup with a cut base.
2005-11-19mKB in k4 the 2 q lots date clearly to the Mittani period
