Time sequencing
Stratum to which element belongs 2011-11-11cJC s148J2B
Phase to which stratum belongs 2011-11-11cJC h7mJ2B
Stratigraphic reasons 2008-3-5pC pottery dated to Khabur period
Typological reasons 2005-9-14mH Most likely Khabur but potentially also Mitanni.
2008-3-5pC below f161
Other reasons 2005-9-14mH At the bottom levels of this feature, the top of the wall feature f224 was still visible. This feature, however, also consists of the hard water deposits discovered also in higher elevations.
2011-5-16cJC Layer is within brickfall elevations, inclusion of lots of pottery is typical of brickfall. Although dated to the Khabur it can not be because it is above the Mittani brickfall.
2011-11-21cJC Just after the brickfall, this area with numerous sherds is likely part of the use areas that accumulated on top of the degraded brickfall.
I99.NTime 2005-9-12mKB from the analysis of the body and shape sherds from this feature it appears that it should be dated to the Khabur period but given the fact that there is no clear transition i the whole region from the Khabur to the Mittani period there is the possibility that the feature is to be dated to the Mittani period.
