Stratigraphy
Normally Phase 9m, the topsoil layer, would be the most recent. In J2, however, there were excavations between the deposition of the topsoil and when the recording of the J2 book began. These excavations were conducted by the DOG and are recorded elsewhere. It became necessary in the J2 documentation to refer to these excavations and so they were assigned to Phase 9p.
