Description 2008-3-12pC the glacis, consisting in a very hard sloping surface, which follow the slope of the layers underneath

Recovery/Assignment and the Record
Argument 2008-3-12pC probably due to its hardness and compact surface it was layed in order to permit the flow of water from wall f128; it can be the same kind of layer found in J1 at the same position in front of revetment wall

Volumetric localization
Locus 2005-9-5mH k14

2009-8-30cJC f352 (lense A) overlays f319
2009-9-2cJC f354 (lens) overlays f319
Type of contact: Earliest events 2008-3-12pC f319 abuts f127 (wall)
2008-3-12pC f319 abuts f289 (accumulation D)

Stratigraphic reasons 2008-3-5pC elevation and layers above dated to phase h1-J h1JPA
Other reasons 2005-9-14mH Glacis associated with f288.
2011-5-16cJC This hard sloping layers is the lowest level excavated and abuts the bottom of the revetment wall ( f128). It is under EDIII accumulations and so is dated to the same period as the other EDIIIb accumulations above it.
2011-11-21cJC Hard gray layer associated with the construction of the monumental access. The type of contact with f127, the flanking wall, was not recorded originally but it likely runs underneath. In future excavations when the baulk just south of f127 is removed this question can be investigated further.
