Stratigraphy

Phase 8m is defined by the stones that were scattered just above the second apron. These stones include those that were intentionally placed and those that appear to have collapsed from the apron. The use of the area during this phase was confined to the intentional placement of stones. No tannurs, floors or work areas are associated with this level.

Typology

Typology of ceramics from this phase has not yet been completed. The small finds are typical for J2 including kiln waste, broken clay artifacts and lithic objects. A seal impression (i4) is the only unusual object.
