Description/Count
description (summary) 2006-9-28 bL feature inside the pit a5, excavated by Ahmad. It is greyish in colour, the texture is not so hard and friable, it presents red zones and ash lines. [Input File: Q928bL.j]
2006-10-09 jW Compacted fill below the cut of pit a5 in the northwest corner of k13. It was excavated to see if the material used to construct the temple mound behind the revetment wall, f11, was the same as that found last year in the excavation of the typological column k104 and k105. It was similar in that it was of various constencies, containing the occasional mudbrick. The pottery was Late Chalcolithic. There were no other materials such as seal impressions to help date the deposit with more precision. [Input File: Qx09jW.j]

stratigraphic reasons of assignment 2012-10-07 jW Soil layer excavated from below the bottom of pit a5 to determine the sub-surface components of glacis f109. [Input File: Wx07jW.j]
typological reasons for assignment 2012-10-07 jW Recovered ceramics were Late Chalcolithic. The three items were a lithic fragment, a piece of touched charcoal and clay lumps. [Input File: Wx07jW.j]
other reasons, reservations, qualifications 2012-10-07 jW Each of the three pits cut into the EDIII glacis (a5, a6, a10) was excavated below the cut to determine the date of features below. We anticipated that this material might be the source of the Late Chalcolithic sherds and Uruk seal impressions found in feature f252, above he pit cut of a10. The stratum assigned reflects an intermediate interval between LC3 and EDIII periods. [Input File: Wx07jW.j]
