-wk Three pickmen and five removal personnel reported.  Juma, from J1 was reassigned to us for the balance of the season.

-eq After a false start occasioned by a lack of fuel for the compressor, the jackhammer was used effectively in k103 for much of the day to excavate the hard, dense accumulation, f63, and the concrete-like accumulation, f76, below.

dy Continued to excavate this small locus on the north side of the monumental wall, f11.  The components remained the same for the entire day - a fill of mixed materials including ash, soil, and chunks of deteriorated brick, which, in the direct vicinity of the wall, transitions to a vertical layer of bakhia, which in turn was used to seal the "inside" face of the wall against the intrusion of water.
