description (summary) 2008-7-13 lH ds Natural accumulation under topsoil in k23. It is an aeolian deposit acted upon by water, which formed a hard crust which reduces to powder when scraped with a trowel. There are scattered soft pockets, probably formed by penetrating roots and animal burrows. When picked, it breaks into chunks and dust. [Input File: S713lH.j]
