While heavy mechanical tools are not generally employed on excavations, we were allowed to use a jackhammer in the case of a very hard surface, J3f76. This video clip shows the general setting and the way in which the detritus was treated, with a double sifting procedure – at the base of the dirt evacuation conveyor belt and at the top of the same when the dirt is dumped into a mechanical sifter.
