This digital book gives an overall presentation of the archaeological site from the point of view of the Urkesh Global Record (UGR).      The Urkesh Global Record differs essentially from the broader Urkesh website, which contains a discursive presentation of the various persepctives within which one may view ancient Urkesh. Here I describe only briefly its characteristics.      The primary goal of the sitewide "book" (MZ sitewide) is to provide a concrete frame within which the individual components (the area and the unit books) can be placed and best understood.
