Another dirt carrier was appropriated from k30 as needed. -dy f364 was followed near the center of the room. S of center, the accumulation removed was ashlike in color, to the N of center it was brown (samples were taken of each for comparitive analysis). In some spots, small bricklike deposits were encountered. The accumulation removed just S of the oven was identical to that of .290. The hole near the flue was further uncovered, and followed. Appearing to be a rodent hole, it was assigned a feature number (f374) and a sample was taken of its contents (.293). The limits of this feature were followed. f374 led from the approximate point of the oven flue to another hiterto undiscovered object ca. 60cm from the extent edge of the oven. The new object was assigned a feature number (f376), its definition remains unclear. A cavity clearly identifiable as a rodent hole was discovered near the NW corner of the excavation area (i.e., the N end of the W threshold) and given a feature number (f375). Microfauna was found among the sherds and cups earlier discovered near the Southern limit of the excavation area of k22. f 367 ds near the center of the room, the accumulation was marked by a ca. 4cm layer of brown dirt which was coated by a ca. 0.5cm layer of ashlike material. f 374 ds appears to be a rodent hole, leading from a point near the oven flue to f376. There is one fork along its path. It was filled with fine, unpacked dirt of a red bricklike color. f 376 ds rectangular in shape (ca. 20x30cm), appears as a shallow basin. The material of which it is made appears identical to that of the oven walls. -ar it is possible that the cavity discovered near the oven contains a branch leading to f375 (i.e., f374 and f375 may be part of a larger rh). .rd H701 .ri bsh -wk I was absent from 8a to 12p. -dy removal of f372/366/367 (i.e., pursuit of f364) was continued between the excavation lines in the Eastern quadrant. The floor surface was not so clearly defined and, at points, it appeared that another floor surface was being removed during this deep cut. A cup, nearly fully intact, was discovered near the SE corner of this area and itemized accordingly. A small portion of f372 remains in this section of the working area. -sg the floor surface removed in pursuit of f364 should be left for the remaining removal of f372 and followed W by NW around the oven to see if in fact it is to be identified with f369. f 364 22 fl 365 22 fl 366 22 ac 367 22 ac 368 22 uk 369 22 fl 370 22 fl 371 22 ac 372 22 ac 373 22 fi 374 22 rh 375 22 rh 376 22 uk i 276 358 22 869 ca 3 2 dk grey impressed w/ fingerprint 277 358 22 ba bone near oven, added to lot, itemized for triangulation 278 358 22 870 la 4 2 worked bone 279 358 22 sa ash in and near sherd NE of oven 280 358 22 874 ma 3 0.5 gr bronze, pin shaped 281 358 22 874 la 2 1 tan fg? found at bottom of f358 282 358 22 874 la 2.5 0.5 wh tubular bead 283 358 22 874 ca c1 wheel 284 368 22 sa samples of f368 285 358 22 874 ma metal artifact 286 358 22 874 ca 2 2 possible si 287 367 22 876 ca 2 2 possible si 288 358 22 877 cs chunks from same piece 289 367 22 876 ca 2.5 2 possible si 290 366 22 882 sa soil: f319,366,365 291 367 22 883 sa soil/ash S. of gypsum in center of room 292 367 22 883 sa soil ac near oven 293 374 22 sa from rh near oven flue 294 367 22 884 si 4 4 large 295 367 22 ba thought by mkb to be a handle, not yet removed 296 367 22 cv bowl, partially intact, not removed 297 367 22 cv conical cup 298 367 22 885 si 3 2 with fingerprints 299 372 22 888 si 3.5 2.5 300 372 22 9 10 3 cup q 868 pb 358 22 SW 150E 100N 8354-123 15 to the South 869 pb 358 22 NE 100W 100S 8354-123 10 NE near oven 870 pb 358 22 continues q868 Eastward from f142 871 pb 358 22 NW 100E 100S picks up W of beginning of q869 872 p 358 22 SW 200N 100E 8354-12333 7 to 12 cms down 873 pb 358 22 NW 100E 100S 8354-123 8 874 pb 358 22 SE 50W 0 8354-123 10 to the N, also E strip 875 p 22 876 pb 366 22 SW 150E 200N 8360-149 10 ac above f364 877 pb 358 22 E 250W 0-100N 8360-126 10 between excavation lines 878 pb 358 22 E 0-100W 0-100S 8360-134 6 between excavation lines 879 pb 366 22 SE 200W 200N 8360-150 3 880 pb 373 22 NW 300S 200E 8358-147 6 above f365 881 p 373 22 NW 300S 200E 8358-147 6 continues q880 882 pb 367 22 NW 300S 200E 8358-147 6 begins wheree f373 meets f369 883 pbv 367 22 SW 250N 150E 8358-147 uncovering f364 884 p 367 22 SE 50W 100N 8362-144 12 continues q883p 885 pbl 372 22 E 0W 8360-140 3 3 to 12 cms down - following f364, between excavation lines 886 887 p 372 22 E 0W 8360-140 3 3 to 12 - continues q885p 888 pl 372 22 close to f210 qi 869.1 la 1.5 1.5 possible fg 868.1 ma 1 1 bronze and stone/clay 868.2 la 7 4.5 object 869.2 la 1.5 1 possible se 874.1 ma bronze bead? 874.2 ca long rect. 874.3 ca 883.1 ca 3 2.5 possible si 888.1 si 2 2 eroded
