nr During MZ10 excavations in this square the first feature identified below topsoil was an ashy accumulation in the northwest quadrant, designated as f188. While further excavation showed this feature to extend over much of the square, it also revealed several additional features lying above f188 and below topsoil, f182.

nr In order to help equate the feature numbers assigned during MZ10 with those assigned today during the drawing of the eastern baulk section, we will take elevations of the features in the section and compare these to elevations taken on features during MZ10.
