However, f331 had grown too large, so I decided to split it. Also, at the top level, there appears to be a pocket of tannur fill in the N half. I have yet to see its extents, but it is green and yellow in color, very distinct from the surrounding brown. Perhaps, if it is continuous, I will make it a new feature. f 338 ds Originally, I thought that this feature was a series of white floors. However, the surfaces revealed while picking were neither level nor continuous. This suggests that, instead, they were patches of plant material, pockets, rather than floors. They do show a definite slope to the E, similar to the highests accumulations. -sg In k27, since the surface under the white floor f337 seems contiguous and homogenous, we are again digging the whole locus. In k26, since it appears that the white layers are not floors, but pockets, we have switched back to the large picks. v 121 ph The purpose of this view is to show the layers and slope of the white surfaces f338 in k26. v121a is the same view from a different angle. v121b is a closeup of the white layers.
