-dy Today, we continued excavating in the trench.  Most of the accumulation was the same brown soil with inclusions which we have seen up until this point; in k31, however, we have begun to expose a large white layer, which seems to slope downwards to the southwest.
-sg We will continue following the top of the white layer as we dig downward.
