dy removed accumulations, f340 and f341, from the north side of the locus, now including what had been the north baulk. On the last pick run, found a N-S mudbrick wall, f342 in the NE quadrant. On either side, after removal of accumulations west, f341, and east, f343, of wall, f342, found a stone paved surface, f344, which is clearly an extension of the top of the stone platform located just to the north.

ds mudbrick wall less than 50cm wide in the NE quadrant of k5. It was clearly built atop the stone and sherd pavement, f344. gb associated this with Phase 3. jlw would go further and say that due to its small size relative to the platform it would probably be Phase 4, Ur III. This assumes that such a minor structure in such a key location would not be in an important part of a building that was so recently associated with a royal person.

ds accumulation to the east of wall, f342 in the NE quadrant of k5.  It may be the same as accumulation, f341, but it was isolated because of the possibility that one side or the other of the wall may have enclosed a living or working place.
