.bk A15 .fl N723ms.j .fd daily journal N723 .ed N723 .ei ms .rd N723 .ri ms -dy continue as usual going down in all loci. bwp gave us new points k 5 dy continued removing dirt around jars in f411 looking for floor or some surface. Still no sign of pit so it is probable that this is an installation. We are uncovering more jars, sherds, stones, and more items. i244, i245, i246 are three more jars in situ. We have also found a metal pin, i247. Majid and Rashid are picking here. The dirt is soft and brown an appears in section under gray accumulation. Remains contained by f413, wall. Also continued going down in accumulation f418. It is unclear what is going on here. There seems to be red bricky material but no real articulated bricks. We find the w face of f413. There seems to be a layer or small pit of ashy material in w portion running into baulk. We are moving slowly here to insure we understand what's going on. k 15 dy went down evenly throughout f407. Large stone seems to be in th emiddle of pit f412 and probably fell in and does not appear related to other features so we can remove it tomorrow. Since we have new points we can remove the last of the baulk, see the extent of f409, pebble lens, and remove it. fab suggested removing walls. k 14 dy removed more of f372. When the rest of the baulk is removed tomorrow we should be able to delineate the connection between f407 and f372. We can also begin to examine the gray accumulation and attempt to define it's boundaries. k 13 dy went down in entire locus. gb examined the bricks in section in the kiln. They do not appear to be part of a structure but instead are part of kiln lining. Removed volcanic rock lining on other side of kiln. There is bricky matter but not bricks. This also burnt well from the heat of the kiln. There is an ashy gray lens near one of the kilns. It may be a pit but is more likely just very ashy kiln waste. jw scraped area at the end of the day and saw blue. lr stated she had blue in A16 in prior season and it was blue clay, a very good quality. Probably also associated with the kilns. The gray is 10YR 5/2, grayish brown.
