nv The south end of this wall (foundation) was not excavated to its bottom.  Therefore its stratum is problemetical.  It was either constructed at the same time as the formal courtyard or alternatively constructed after the reception area began to be used.  The wall it supported was likely just a few courses high and provided a frame for the entrance.
