The stones were found under f44, west of f46 wall (outside of a1) and under f55, accumulation inside a1. The stones vary in size, averaging between 5-30 cm in length. Pottery inclusions are visible between the stones in some areas suggesting either the pottery became embedded during use or were used in the construction of the pavement. dy The stones only continue 50 cm west from f46. However, current removal of f55, accumulation inside a1, is beginning to reveal that the stones continue into the structure, perhaps forming a pavement for a1. The northern section of the pavement appears to continue around the wall f38, following the corner and also showing signs of continuing into the walled structure. Further excavation will soon reveal the extent of the surface boundaries.
