158		OH		Kite view showing the excavation area of A20 in relationship with the other areas of AA. South-east of A20 we can see the old excavation of A19, in its western part incorporated in A20. To the south we have the area of A18 and A17 showing Mittani structures, whereas to the west the view shows the lower levels of Khabur occupation until the level of the palace AP.

Next to A20 is clearly visible the deep area of A19 excavated during MZ16 and in part reopen this year inside A20. The view also shows the old excavation areas of A18 and A17 with Mittani structures, and further to the south-west the palace AP.
159a		OH		Kite view showing just A20, A19 and part of A18. This view, taken from a lower height, shows the structures excavated in A20. Easily recognizable are the ashy layer f22 and f24, the drain f83 with the pebble pavement f80, and the stones pavement f108, f57, f132 and f93. In the northern portion of A20 the view shows also the big mud brick wall ^w1 running east to west.

The view shows the entire temple terrace, with the reconstructed temple on its top, the big staircase and the upper part of the revetment wall running from the staircase in the east to the west, where it forms a corner toward north. Here in J5 has been uncovered this year the new Mitanni staircase. This view shows how the structures of A20 are close to the wall and the terrace, allowing us to hypothesize a reduction of the size of the Plaza, at least in the west and in Mittani period.

The big mud brick wall running east to west along for loci, k12, k13, k14 and part of k15; the four stone pavements linked with the walls, forming a1, a4, a6 and f108. From this view we can see the wall f86 and f152 in almost perfect line, so probably belonging to the same structure or period, together with the walls f84 and probably also the big wall ^w1. To the west the view shows all the installations and the sharp edge between the bricky mass f52, f82, f98 and the thick ashy layer f22 and f24.

The view shows clearly the stone pavements in the eastern part of A20, connected with the mud brick walls closing some rooms. We can see the stone pavement f108, the stone pavement f57 forming with two mud brick walls the room a1. Next to it there are two small rooms a6 and a4. To the north the big mud brick wall ^w1 running east to west along k12, k13, k14 and part of k15. To the west are visible the drain and the pebble pavement of a3, and the ashy layer f22 and f24 abutting the sharp edge of the brick mass next to it.

The view shows how these structures, are close to the revetment wall and to the terrace, shown in J5 and J1 excavations. The function of the structures, above all the numerous rooms found, is not still clear. They could be either dwellings, or some kind of workshops.

In its eastern portion are visible a1, a6 and a4 constructed of stone pavements and mud brick walls forming small rooms. The view also shows the big stone pavement f108 and the bigger room a5. From this shot we can also see how the situation changes to the west, where we can see some small sherd and pebble pavements (f112 and f73) and the drainage a3. Next to the west baulk of A20 there is the big accumulation of ash f22 and 24, probably related to the activities taken place in this open area. Right next to the north baulk there is the big mud brick wall1 probably belonging to a big structure to the north.
