It covers all k100 and slopes toward south (north is at elevation of 9728, south is at 9711) f 5 tc co f1 tc ab f1 ds A compact surface sloping toward south with uneven surface; some pebbles and sherds lying flat. To the north is at elevation of 9712, to the south, after 3 meters is at elevation of 9644 ar The northern porion seems to be a brickfall but since it has been only exposed i cannot be sure if it is a brickfall. It came out as surface as removed f4 .rd U914 f 6 tc co f1 tc co f2 tc co f10 tc co f12 ds The soil accumulated in k200 in the last 10 years after the excavation in the trench ended (2000). It is a soft soil with a lot of pottery and plastic bags f 7 tc co f8 tc co f18 ds Topsoil in k101 coverin all the locus. It has lot of plant rooths and is bricky, similar to f4 in k100 f 8 tc co f9 tc co f2 tc co f11 tc co f13 ds Red brick crumble, no visible bricks, patches of softer soil, same as f4. It covers all k101 .rd U915 f 9 tc ca f2 ds A pavement consisting of bricky soil and sherds and pebbles (5-10 cm). It extends from k101 to k200 for 260 cm in east-west direction and it is 150 cm wide. It caps wall f2 ar It could be a path leading to the temple BA: reason for this is thet is 150 cm wide and is paved with pebbles and sherds. It starts suddendtly in k101. f11 could be the continuation of the path (a floor very poorly preserved). H99 I think that pavement f9 came after wall f2 f 12 tc ab f1 tc ab f20 tc co f16 ds A natural accumulation in k200, west of staircase f19. It is compact and has no defined surface on the top, while it is a bit bricky and sticky on the bottom. It covers f16, which instead has a clear surface f 13 tc ab f2 tc ab f11 ds A natural accumulation south of f11, hard and dusty with lot of pottery. dy There is an animal hole in the southern portion with plastic bags .rd U916 f 14 tc si f21 ds pit fill of pit cut f21. It is located in the southern portion of k101. It is a soft soil with a lot of stones (5-10 cm in dimentions) f 21 tc cu f15 tc cu f13 ds Pit cut filled with soil and stones f14 f 15 ds Mud brick glacis in k101, same as f10 in k200. The bricks are red and grey, different in dimentions and shape. At least 3 bricks high, but might be more. Between the bricks there is a 1 cm thick layer of mud mortar ar It could be that there are several repair phases of the glacis: the upper layer of bricks is more regular than the lower one, while in k200 f10 the upper layer seems regular and proceding toward east it becomes irregular. f 16 tc ab f1 tc ab f17 ds A compact and hard surface, almost even with a slight slope toward south. Some sherds and few animal bones, plant rooths. On the northern portion a small lens of ash. It is a bit bricky .rd U927 f 1 df w ds Stone wall running north-south made of 7 stone undressed blocks. A second course of stones may build a stepped structure (a stone was found to the north. It is overlapped by the last northern visible stone ar it could be a staircase, while there are two steps which seem to continue the allignment with steps f19. There is a similarity between staircase f1 and apron in J2 f131 (as well staircase f19 and staircase in J2 f130 f 2 df w tc ov f10 tc ov f20 ds Stone wall running east-west starting in k101 and continuing in k200. It is 250 cm wide and 1 to 3 stones high. The western portion turns for ca. 20 cm toward south and then continues to the west. It is damaged in the central exposed portion, while some stones are missing. It is built on top of bricks f10 and is partly covered by pavement f9. The stones undressed and are irregular in form and dimentions. The stones componets were carefully choosed for building this wall, while they have almost flat sides. To the south the wall shows a face, almost flat. Here is clearly visible that it is built on top of bricks f10. H99 wall f2 is built on top of f10. It could be contemporary or later than f10. I think that comes after f1 and f10: 1) The orientation is slightly different than f1. 2) It is built on top of f10 3) If it is a path it leads south of the temple BA and it should bend toward north. f 10 ds Mudbrick glacis found from south of wall f2 (and under it) reaching staircase in J2 (going under it). It is at least 3 mudbricks high, but probably more and it consists of red and gray mudbricks of several shapes and dimentions (square 40x40, rectangular, triangular and other forms). The western portion the mudbricks are regular in forms and regularly laid, whereas on the east in k101 the bricks are laied not following a system and the shapes varies (it seems more a patchwork) f 11 tc ab f9 ds A surface poorly preserved, compacted naturally. It was found directly east of f9 in k101. ar It was very difficolt to expose it without removing the surface, whle it was not really compact, but while pavement f9 strats suddently in k101 and while it should be a path, fAB suggested that f11 should be the continuation of the path f9. It is also located At the same elevation as f9 sg We decided to leave f11 and dig south of it continuing removing f8 f 17 tc ov f19 ds A wall with east-west orientation, consisting of 1 stone and 2 backed bricks. The backed bricks are 40x40 cm the eastern one and the western is half a brick. Under these two bricks there is another one. f 18 ds A floating stone located in the north east corner of k101 tc si f8 el @9672 top f 19 tc ab f1 tc ov f20 ds A stone staircase build of undressed lime stones, with a smooth surface. 4 steps are exposed and each of them consist of 2 or 3 stones, overlapping for few cm the lower step. The third step from the top is flanked to the north by a stone resting on top of accumulation (it comes with floor f16) and to the south by a smaller stone. The staircase may continue to the north and to the south ar Staircase f19 may continue to the north. The second step is almost in line with the second step of f1. The two structures may belong to a same construction or building, but they show some differences in construction: while staircase f19 is a clearly a staircase, made of well laied stone smooth bouders, f1 could be a staircase but differently made: the stones of the upper step are uneven and not smooth. The upper step of f1 is alligned with the upper step of f19. f 20 ds 8 red mud bricks located between staircase f19 and walls f2 and f22. They are laied in 2 rows. The bricks are of differen shapes, mostly rectangular and square. ar It should be the mudbrick glacis same as f10 south and under f2. The stratigraphic relationship between f10 and f2 is the same as f2and f20 f 22 tc ab f20 ds A small stone wall built of 4 stones with a north-south direction. It delimits f20 on the west
