Some sherds have a thick calcite? slip on the interior that is white or greenish-white f 273 I11 date determined by looking at shapes and decoration only; pottery q lots will receive a full analysis at a later time. Phase is h1-JPB either 1c or b based on preliminary examination of shapes and decoration and especially on the Ninevite 5 sherds in the feature q 1159 K99 Ninevite 5 incised sherd, pointed base,many small sherds of Simple ware cups and bowls, some Late Chalcolithic sherds q 1160 K99 many small sherds, Ninevite 5 types: excised body sherds, pointed bases, excised bowl with double rim, many small fine ware bowls or cups, short stand, small jar with slightly flaring rim. Late Chalcolithic sherds include a small bowl with a tab handle at the rim, 1 body sherd with incised wide oval decoration q 1162 K99 part of a "fruit stand" base, Phase 1 flaring rim jar with outturned rim with a slight groove down the center of the rim q 1163 K99 Phase 1 jars with a short flaring rim, slightly concave bases in Simple ware, early Ninevite 5 incised q 1164 K99 few shape sherds, probably 1 Mittani ring base q 1165 K99 few shape sherds, 1 LC flat base, 1 late Ninevite 5 incised body sherd, 1 carinated Ninevite 5 body sherd, fine ware bowl or jar probably Ninevite 5 f 265 I11 h1c-JPB. Late Chalcolithic jar rim f 272 I11 h1g-JPB q 1153 K99 ceramics look like J1f239 dating to Phase 1g. Here there are also large sherds in Simple, Wet Smooth and Chaff tempered wares. Shapes include conical cups, ans small bowls, both made in Simple ware. Some conical cups are made in a soft ware that is yellow-buff and low fired; these are probably Ninevite 5. Jar with groove on top of rim probably also Ninevite 5. f 274 I11 h6-JPB q 1151 K99 Mittani rough base of a stand, wide flat rim jar with ribbed decoration below f 235 I11 h6-JPB but mixed with earlier sherds q 1150 K99 small cup with string cut base, 1 wide footed base, some Simple ware bowls and conical cups q 1154 K99 mixed with Phase 3? body sherd and 1 painted body sherd f 280 I11 h1c-JPB Date is based on the large number of Ninevite 5 sherds. The Mittani sherds are out of place as explained by the excavator, q 1185 K99 1 Mittani wide rim with 4 painted stripes and 1 work disk common in the Mittani period. Rest of the lot is Ninevite 5 including a pointed base, 2 late Ninevite 5 incised body sherds, 1 late Ninevite 5 incised and grooved body sherd, 1 undecorated Ninevite 5 jar with a straight neck
