The area was full of dirt and soil brought from the winter rainfalls and some sections were damaged from the water. 334a t N gk128 gf288,286,289,290 Sub view showing k128 with the metal box open. In the eastern part the stones of f288 are visible, in part covered by dirt and dust. On the bottom of k128 a lot of dirt and animal holes are visible. Also the north and south sections were damaged. 334b m S gk126,127 The sub view shows part of k127 and entire k126 with the backfill from MZ 21. The tends protecting the south and east section are still visible in the background, as the panel for tourist information. 335 N gk127 gf196,241 View showing West section of k127 with plastic and backfill put last year to protect the excavation area. The view shows deep channel excavated in the section from the water during the winter. 335a c N gk127 gf239,241,259 Sub view showing a particular of the strong erosion of western section in k127 with deep channel excavated by the winter rainfall. .rd T721 .ri lC 336 N gk126,127,128 gf196,239,259,278,279,294,296,297,299,300 View showing J1 after the removal of backfill. The view shows the features we will probably remove this year. f294 and f296 going north looking for the face of the Chalcolithic wall, but also f239 and 278 to uncover the sloping surface of early escarpment f196. Interesting also the wall f259 and its relationships with the escarpment f196. 336a m N gk126,127,128 gf294,296,72,196,259,239 This sub view shows J1 cleaned from the backfill. It shows well the relationships and the different level of the various structures. The revetment wall f72 with the first escarpment abutting its base, the second escarpment, but also the big stone wall f259 running south to north. This is the area we are going to excavate to expose the face of the Chalcolithic wall f288, not visible in this picture inside k128. 336b t OH gk128 gf288,290 The picture shows k128 with the stone wall f288, running east to west, and probably dating to the Late Chalcolithic period. 337 N gk127 gf72,296,303 View showing the narrow step left from previous years in the eastern part of k127. We will remove this step, starting from f303, looking carefully for the surface of the early escarpment until the level of f296. 337a NE gk127 gf296,303 Sub view showing the eastern step of k127 left from the previous years. We will remove this looking for the surface of the early escarpment, starting from f303 going down to the level of f296. 338 NW gk127 gf304,239 The picture shows f304, a gypsum lens found inside the second escarpment f239, and used probably as filling material, as many others elements(mud bricks, ash, clay, dirt). 338a w W gk127 gf196,239,241,304 Sub view showing f304, the gypsum lens in a wider context. f304 was uncovered inside f239, i.e. the second escarpment, above the sloping ash layer f241 that divides the two escarpments. f304 is a lens and probably was used just as filling material. 339 NE gk127 gf296,303,305,306 View showing the eastern step of k127 during its excavation. In section is clearly visible a sloping ash layer f303 covering f305, interpreted as an interface because the accumulation is still mixed with what above. 340 OH gk127 gf239,304 gi65 View showing i65 in situ. It is a clay lump found inside the gypsum lens f304 resting on f239, the later escarpment. 341 NE gk127 gf72,296,303,305,306,309 View showing the removing of k127 eastern step. After a thin ash layer and a mixed accumulation f305, we found f306, very similar in composition to the second escarpment. Just next to the wall another feature has been recovered. f309 seems to be cut in antiquity and it could be part of the early escarpment. 341a t NE gk127 gf72,303,305,306,309 The picture shows the small important east corner of k127. Here after the removal of f303 and f305, excavating the accumulation f306 we uncovered a grey clayish layer f309, right next to the wall, that seems to be cut in antiquity and could really be part of the early escarpment. 341b t E gk127 gf72,303,305,306 This sub view is showing a small portion of k127 east section in relationship to the revetment wall f72. It shows the ashy layer f303 sloping down to the south above two different accumulation f305 and f306.
