Phase 3s sherds: -p3 bowl base with slightly convex base with walls rounded near the base (for this shape see J2 f215 q648-4), -p5 small jar with beaded rim. LC Coarse ware shapes: -p6 bowl with pointed rim slanted toward the interior, very smooth tan-orange surface, wide carbon core, -p4 ware similar to -p6 small bowl with narrow flat rim, -p2 jar with rim extended toward interior and exterior. 15 coarse body sherds, both red-brown and buff, 2 buff coarse body sherds with prominent scrape marks on the interior, 1 clear Metallic body sherds and 3 unclear ones, 2 yellow buff body sherds, 1 fine WS ware body sherd, 6 medium buff body sherds that may come from jars, 1 orange budd body sherd that may come from a cup. I12 the coarse wars sherds from this feature are certainly dated to Phase 2h but the ED III sherds, while probably are dating to Phase 3s this is not absolutely certain from the types present in the feature q 1295 A99 f347 I12 mixed probably 3s and 2h I11 LC Coarse: -p6 small bowl with beaded rim with "exploded" calcite on surface, -p5 bowl with pointed rim and slightly thickened on the exterior. ED III: -p7 green S ware bowl with convex base and vessel walls rounded near base, -p1, -p5, -p2 small conical cups or bowls with simple rim, -p4 conical cup or bowl with slightly beaded rim, secondarily fired q 1289 A99 f341 I12 mixed probably 3s and 2h I11 -p3 coarse ware bowl or jar, ED III wares: -p2 tan-brown bowl with upper body slightly bent toward the exterior, no carbon core, chaff and small calcite temper, -p1, -p6 body sherds in fine high fired greenish buff wares, -p5 conical cup in S ware secondarily fired. I12 the coarse wars sherds from this feature are certainly dated to Phase 2h but the ED III sherds, while probably are dating to Phase 3s this is not absolutely certain from the types present in the feature q 1326 A99 f341 I12 unknown I11 only 4 body sherds q 1306 A99 f354 I12 mixed Phases 3s and 2h I11 coarse wares: -p6 jar with rounded rim undercut on the exterior, may be a casserole, -p4 small jar, -p1 jar with globular body in a tan-brown slip, with some chaff and calcite, compact clay with smooth surface interior and exterior, this ware is much lecc coarse than the LCH ware. Fine ware: -p2 S ware rounded base, very green and well smoothed surface, -p3 small orange-brown bowl with simple rim in RC1 ware, -p32 conical cup greener toward base and yellow at rim, FC ware and rougher texture on interior and exterior than the usual FC ware surface ;q 1311 GET ;A99 f354 ;I12 ;I11 q 1287 A99 f329 I12 mixed Phase 3s, 3h and 2h I11 ED III types: -p23 square rimmed deep bowl, Rc ware with buff-green slip, -p2 large base with exterior ledge, bottom rough with chaff marks, ware is gray buff with light buff-green slip, chaff, calcite and sand temper, made probably with a coil method with coil marks visible on the interior of the base, it is also possible that these marks are the result of production on a slow wheel, the exterior portion of the base has been cut with a sharp tool and is slightly undulating, 4 examples of this type base in J6 f200, -p17 jar with folded over rim and interior groove, -p24 slightly concave green bowl base with wheelmarks on lower body wall in FC ware, -p4, -p3 green flat base with wheel marks, -p8, -p9 conical cup with simple rim, light green buff, date unknown but may be LC2: -p10 round sided bowl with slight carination near the top, gray-brown ware with burnished exterior, similar shape found in LC2 but on a larger bowl and in a different ware, -p11 bowl with beaded rim heavily secondarily fired, Ninevite V: -p1 pointed base, -p20 round sided bowl with thin beaded rim undercut below exterior, coarse: -p16 Coba bowl, -p14 round sided bowl, -p14 small red-brown simple rim bowl with carbon core, -p12 bowl with rim slanted toward the interior, carbon core, smoother on exterior than interior, tan-buff slip, -p19 restricted rim jar with well smoothed surfaces, tan, -p5 ring base of a bowl, orange buff slip on exterior only, slow wheel marks on the interior, no carbon core, "exploded" calcite on the interior and in section, -p25 convex base, green-buff, much sub-round chaff and calcite, fine LC3 shapes -p7 tiny bowl, orange-brown interior and red-buff exterior, burnished on interior and exterior, -p15 jar with sharply outturned neck, firing cloud, red-brown, much chaff for such a thin walled shape, calcite. -ph It is possible that the fills below the earliest escarpment are earlier than ED IIIA in J2 but not as early as the existance of late Ninevite V ceramics. Even in J2 f288 and 289 in k100 are probably late Ninevite V but we do not have as yet a clear transition between these 2 phases.
