I12 in this feature there is a mixture of these two early phases. The Ninevite sherds are dated to both Phase 3f (characterized by small shapes finely decorated with incised and excised type decoration) and the latest phase (Phase 3h characterized by larger incised and excised decoration, here the only example is q1191-p70). The painted sherd that may date to Ninevite V would be part of early Ninevite V period. The flaring rim jars with square rims begin in the late Ninevite V period but in Tell Arbit at least they have wider rim diameters; there too they continue into the Early ED III period. We do not have as yet well stratified Ninevite V examples elsewhere on the site. f 283 I12 Phase 3f mixed with Phase 2h I11 Ninevite V shapes: q1202-p4 buff short neck jar with rim divided on top, this same shape continues into (Phase l ED IIIA) but here the ware is coarser than the later examples and has a thick greenish-buff slip, q1199-p1, q1190-p3, q1190-p10 coarse red-brown bowls with square rim and semi-circular tab handle near the rim, q1202-p3 ring base with groove around base, q1199-p6 thick, coarse part of "fruit stand" q1202-p2 gray-gerrn bowl with beaded rim, q1199-p71 body sherd with fine incised decoration.
