There are 67 figurines or identified figurine fragments in the J2 corpus. This makes up around 8% of all the J2 objects. Undoubtedly some of the unidentifed clay artifacts are fragments of figurines. Most are unidentifiable to species but there are a few exceptions that are nicely preserved such as:

Often only the body portion is preserved with the head and legs broken off. The bodies are more easily identified and are usually thicker leading to their greater rate of preservation and recovery. Some representative body fragments are listed below:
