f548 is a natural accumulation that is covered by compacted surface f547. It is a crumbly pale brown deposit with some pebbles in it. It is very similar to the deposits that lie on top of it, but it is relatively hard. It is also remarkable that a lot more pottery sherds were found in this deposit than in the younger deposits.
