Removed accumulation f168, in which sat a large limestone block f169, which was left in place. Underneath f168 was a packed earth floor with pebbles and sherds laying flat throughout. Designated this floor as f173, and the accumulation above it, f168 as a living accumulation. f 169 ds A large limestone block in the north east corner of k22. After removal of the north baulk, we will determine if it is a component of a4, an E-W line of similar blocks that was found along the south edge of k13. H99 The bottom of this limestone block appears to be supported by f168 at a height of about 10cm above the floor, f173. This means that the block was not a part of the installation which included the floor, but rather was deposited later. f 173 ds A hard-packed dirt floor surface containing imbedded pebbles and sherds laying horizontally in the north baulk of k22. ns Informal measurements of the elevations of this floor and the tannur, f3, excavated in k12, immediately adjacent to the east, indicate that they both belong to the same stratum. Detailed measurements and analysis will be conducted on Q823. f 168 ds A soft, brown, fine grained accumulation above a packed earth floor, f173 in the north half of k22. Sherds from this feature will be analyzed to assist in determining the stratum of the floor. A large limestone block, f168, possibly a component of installation a4, was sitting in this accumulation near the bottom.
