.bk J05 .fl S804lH.j .fd daily journal for S804 .ei lH .ed S804 .rd S804 .ri lH -sy bWP installed the markers for the four new loci(k13, k14, k3, k4) to the west of k24 and k23. In k22, while we were removing the rest of the northern baulk, we removed the northwesterm marker of it, m4881. In the western section of k34, we removed m4879 while we were removing the eastern baulk of k44. -sg Tomorrow, we are going to start excavation in the new locus, k14. In k33, we will remove the western and the eastern baulks, starting with the western tomorrow, in order to have a wide view that links the stone installations in k43, f71, f73, f91, with the revetment wall, the other stone installations in k23; f20, f73, f99, f41; and the glacis, f74. k 23 dy We removed the dense natural accumulation, f82, at the southwestern quadrant of this locus. The stone triangle, f99, became more clear, so we could notice that it`s linked with the stones of f41, running to the northwest, and probably continue its direction below the stones of f37 and f20. We photographed this new feature in its relationship with the surrounding features, v55. The natural accumulation, f82, was covering a lens of ashy soil, f83, which rested directly above the glacis, f74. Removing the ashy layer, f83, helped to see clearly the extention of the glacis, f74, which abuts the western border of all the stones of f41, and sloping towards the south and the southwest. The ashy layer above it in this locus could be connected to the same phenomenon that produced the ash above the glacis of J6, f63. Above the third and the second millenium glacis in J1 gB also noticed the same ashy layer. k 33 dy We removed the compact crusted natural accumulation, f98, which extended on all over this locus below the soft powdery accumulation, f94. This highly compact floor could be connected with the similar layers in the surrounding loci; f60 in k44, f93 in k43, f45 in k34, f39 in k23. Under the compact floor, f98, we found a new feature, f100, which is a lamination, full of nodules in a red sandy matrix. We removed the last mentioned lamination to find a very compact feature, f102. It has the same reddish brown sandy color of the lamination, f100, which was covering it. But it`s much more compact. k 44 dy We continued removing the eastern baulk of this locus. So we removed the rest of the natural accumulation, f96, which was originally three different accumulations(f15, f17, f29). Then we removed the floor accumulation, f42, as a separate feature. Also the highly compact floor, f45, was removed as a separate feature. We started to excavate the compact lamination of f63 as another separate feature, and we are going to remove the rest of it tomorrow. q 145 nr There is a chance that the pottery collected in this lot from the lamination, f100, in k33, is mixed with the pottery collected from the last pickrun of the previous natural accumulation, f98. q 148 nr There is a chance that the pottery collected in this lot from the lamination, f100, in k33, is mixed with the pottery collected from the upper 10 cm of the feature below, f102.
