A99 f44 q 58-p9 ds Red banded plate with rim slightly rounded on top with rounded exterior, the inside of the rim has a slight lip, red-brown slip and smoothed on interior and exterior, czrbon core, chaff with medium and small calcite and feldspar. A99 f44 q 55-p19 ds Brown-orange thick slip interior and exterior, smoother inside than on exterior, carbon core, small sub-round chaff, small feldspar and little small calcite. A99 f44 q 111-p10 ds Plate with slight depression at base of rim on the exterior, brown-red slip, smoothed on the exterior, RC ware with the typical "sandwich" section, calcite and small chaff temper. A99 f68 ;q 100-p10 q 100-p11 ds Red banded plate, brown band on interior and over top of rim, paint thin so that slip below shows through in many areas, thick gray-brown slip, calcite and chaff inclusions. A99 f68 q 55-p22 ds Whitish brown thick slip, very well smoothed on interior and exterior, air bubble, "exploded" calcite on the interior surface, evenly distributed small sub-round chaff. nt Note the technical term for "exploded" calcite is rehydration and expansion of CaO. A99 f44 q 70-p3 ds Rim rounded on top with small interior lip, light brown slip on interior only, slightly smoothed on rim, carbon core, much calcite, some small chaff. A99 f57 q 95-p9 ds Three straight lines on top of rim, probably capacity marks, medium brown self slip, wide carbon core, much linear chaff. A99 f68 ;Deep Bowls q 55-p27 ds Deep bowl, buff-white slip, somewhat smoothed on interior and exterior, chaff and calcite inclusions. A99 f44 q 21-p17 ds Small deep bowl, buff-white slip, smoothed on exterior and interior, chaff and calcite temper. A99 f12 q 110-p9 ds Deep bowl in CH ware, red-brown slip on exterior and interior, burnished on top of rim and on the exterior. Rim flat on top with a small lip on the interior, one line of rope-type decoration, chaff visible as sub-round holes as well as linear holes, smoothed but not burnished on the interior. A99 f68 q 20-p7 ds Deep bowl in CH ware with large undulating single template line just under rim, rim slightly curved on top and double on the exterior with both portions pointed, high fire, much small sand temper. A99 f12 q 21-p7 ds Deep bowl with wide flat rim with two sharp edges on the interior, wide but shallow interior lip, two deep template lines with lightly incised undulating line between, this wavy line was made with a wide blunt tool, high fire, much linear shaped chaff and sand temper resulting in a heavy vessel, gray-buff slip on exterior and interior. A99 f12 q 58-p22 ds Deep bowl in CH ware, square rim, smoothed on the interior and over the rim but interior left rough with many small linear chaff holes, thin self slip, much chaff, sand and small calcite, very heavy clay as a result. With rim diameter 34cm the complete vessel must have been impossible to move when full but may have been to some extent moveable when empty. A99 f44 ;Deep bowl, flat rim with rounded exterior, tan-buff slip, some "exploded" calcite on the interior and much calcite in section, some linear shaped chaff, smoother on the top of the rim than on the interior or exterior surfaces. ;Jars q 20-p6 ds Typical Middle Assyrian narrow rim jar with folded over rim, medium fire, much chaff both linear and sub-round on surface and in the section, calcite and other medium lithic temper, buff-brown slip on interior and exterior. A99 f12 ;Cooking Vessels q 100-p5 ds P ware, typical Mittani and Middle Assyrian cooking pot with rim slightly angles toward the interior of the vessel and slightly pointed on the exterior, slight interior lip, red-brown slip, burnished on the exterior and over the rim, clay heavy because of large amounts of quartz and feldspar (large black shapes), little chaff. A99 f68 q 111-p8 ds Cooking vessel in P ware, rim is slanted toward the interior and rounded on the exterior, rim has a slight lip on the interior, very heavy clay with large amounts of quartz, calcite and feldspar. Rim diameter is 41cm so complete vessel must have been too heavy to move even when empty. This is interesting in that the vessel was clearly used for cooking so must have been placed in a context that was permanent with the materials to be cooked brought to the vessel rather than all assembled in the vessel elsewhere. A99 f68 q 70-p11 ds Small cooking pot in P ware with rim rounded on the exterior and an indentation below the exterior of the rim (useful for ease in carrying or attaching a cover but also having the result of a slightly restricted neck on the interior, but there are no macroscopically visible use marks), burnished on exterior and interior, red-brown slip, much quartz temper. A99 f57 q 110-p6 ds Medium cooking pot, P ware, red-brown slip, much quartz and calcite temper, rounded rim, slightly restricted neck which would facilitate holding a lid in place but no use-ware present. A99 f68 q 61-p9 ds Cooking vessel, P ware, pointed rim, slightly restricted neck, not burnished but has a smoother surface on the exterior and interior than usually P ware cooking vessels, red-brown slip, much lithic temper, carbon core. A99 f44 ;Carinated Bowls q 61-p3 ds Carinated bowl with low sharp carination with straight vessel walls above the carination, high fire, smoothed on exterior and interior, small amount of sub-round chaff, calcite and feldspar. A99 f44 q 165-p4 ds Carinated bowl with low sharp carination with straight vessel walls above the carination, Thicker walls and heavier clay than usual bowls (eg. f44 q61-p3), small sub-round chaff , sand and small calcite inclusions. A99 f94 q 55-p17 ds Carinated bowl with high carination just below the rim and rounded sides below the carination, brown slip, smoothed on the exterior and interior, much chaff, calcite, feldspar and a small amount of sand. A99 f44 q 20-p17 ds Carinated bowl with carination on the exterior but not the interior, small lip inside the rim, thin gray carbon core, buff-orange slip, small amount of sub-round chaff and small amount of calcite. A99 f12 q 61-p18 ds Carinated bowl with carination on the exterior but not the interior, flaring vessel wall above the carination, light gray carbon core, small amount of calcite and chaff, small portion of rim interior secondarily fired so probably used as a lamp. A99 f44 q 61-p14 ds Carinated bowl with the interior portion of the carination higher than the exterior portion, RC ware but has thick reddish gray slip on the exterior and interior, calcite on the surface of both the interior and exterior, medium fire, "sandwich" section, large amounts of small calcite and sub-round chaff inclusions, smoothed on the interior and exterior but smoother on the interior than on the exterior. A99 f44 ;Other Shapes q 135-p2 ds Beaker rim flat on top and rectangular in section, orange-brown band below the rim, clay red-brown, small pieces of calcite and linear chaff, medium fired. A99 f94 q 110-p5 ds Cylindrical beaker, FC ware, thick buff-brown slip over a red-brown clay, large number of large calcite nodules. A99 f68 q 21-p9 ds Round sided bowl in FC ware with folded over rim, some sand and calcite temper, medium fired, buff-brown slip on interior and exterior. A99 f12 ;NEED TO CK SHAPE TYPES FROM THE fh PP q 111-p23 ds CH ware, red-brown slip on interior, buff-brown slip on exterior, smoothed only on the exterior, wide carbon core, much "exploded" calcite on the exterior, rope-type decoration, medium and large lithic temper, some chaff.
