Introduction
The OH2 excavations were limited in size and depth but nonetheless produced an interesting and comprehensible depositional sequence. Because only a portion of the presumed total depth of OH2 was excavated the depositional sequence is limited to only a shorter later time although presumably there are earlier deposits as well.
At the end of excavations in 1998, the excavators concluded that the deposition represented the collapse and washing away of a nearby building. The sealings and the brickfall indicated a nearby building and the laminations indicated the presence of water, perhaps causing the collapse, or facilitating the movement of the already collapsed materials.
The uppermost deposits (^plow) were highly disturbed from modern plowing activities which degraded the sherds, and mixed the upper materials.
