color exterior: 10YR8/3 very pale brown
notes: Very heavily secondarily fired. Bitumen repair of large crack diagonally down the lower half of the body. Well fired, no carbon core. Rim distorted in firing. Trace of bitumen just under a part of the rim; appears again to be an ancient repair, not decoration. Body joined in the center; upper half coil made. Not clear how lower half was made but probably is slab formed. Traces of chalk dripping on top of shoulder.
