Description (summary) 2003-09-06 jw roughly rectanular stone block with hemispherical depression in the middle of the largest flat side. The interior of the hemisphere shows well-worn grooves, suggesting exteded use as a pivot stone for some rotating system, perhaps a potter's wheel or a door socket. The hemisphere is too shallow to support a heavy vertical door, however. [Input: NX16JW.j]
