began excavation in this locus today to bring it down to 8800. This consists of the lower part of the hard compacted layers which we called f203, and now coming down in the softer brown accumulation which we are calling f227. [Input: Q912MS.j] |

We kept excavating this locus in order to build the staircase that will lead visitors to the bottom of the area, k126 and k127. We removed f233 and f237. Due to the facts that only a small baulk was left to dig, the short amount of time left, and the use of the big pick, we were unable to recognize f231 and f235 in between the two above mentioned features.
