-sg today the goal was cleaning all the squares (k2, k3, k12, k13, k14,k15) in order to take a general picture of the area according the horizontal alignment which characterize all these squares. However removing the baulks ( eastern one in k2, western one in k12, northern one in k15) we produced much dirt and it was not possible to remove it also because ten of our workmen were busy with the Sabbah machine.

-eq the machine starts to work at 7.00/7.30. Today we have not problem with it and we were able to remove the dirt accumulated and to start with the cleaning of the last four steps totally covered by soil. Ten persons are requested : six down and four up since we have three wheelbarrows. Instead the "elevator" does not work and we have to remove all the dirt we the wheelbarrows.

dy we start to remove the eastern baulk leaving about 20 cm in the eastern part. The feature (f69) is composed by mixed soil with reddish colour, quite compact and with a granular consistency. It seems the reddish material which is typical of the terrace of the temple. We dug the following q-lots: q190, q199.

dy we draw the north-western section and we start to remove the western baulk of the square. The feature (f70) is composed by mixed soil with graysh colour, quite compact. The eroded stones and the steps are continuing towards east under the baulk. We dug the following q-lots: q194, q197. By the way we also finished to remove the eastern baulk of k12 (f63, q189).

dy we draw the small section on the eastern side of the square and then we reach the level of the area (f65, q188) and we started to remove the northern section (f71, q195). Since we needed to go fast yesterday we draw the southern section of k14 (instead of the northern of k15) and today we took the picture. For the moment we can remove the eastern section since we need the ramp which lies on the section.

dy we are going down in all the square digging between the eroded stones, looking to reach the western steps of the stair (f62, q191, q198).

dy cleaning the southern part of the square (f67, q192) we found, near the eastern baulk, a tannur. The installation is f72, the filling is f73. Since we prefer to concentrate our efforts in k100 and k2 and k12 we moved the team and closed the square. We asked Ahmed to clean both the two small German trenches to the north from plants and roots for the kite picture.

dy we are going down in all the square (f68, q193) but after one hour we moved the team in k100.

dy since today the machine works very well we were able to remove a large amount of dirt. We also start to dig the last four steps of the stair (f1, q196, q200).
