It is the same as f183 and f171 in k101. ;co# 7.5 YR 5/4 co very dark brown ar We differenciate this feature from f174 (above it), because the soil matrix is more fine and because of the presence of lots of ashy accumulations; these were concentrated especially in the south-western area of k101, where f184 abuts the W section of k101 and where f184 abuts the S baulk of k101. We also took a sample (i10, gv87a) of the thickest charcoal fragment we found for further analysis. f 183 ;df ad ds f183 is a natural accumulation characterized by a clay loam texture (when dry is sticky and a bit plastic) and by the presence of some ashes areas. It is the same of f182 in k13, and it covers the whole unit, k13. f 184 ;df ts ds f184 is the topsoil in k23. It is characterized by a compact and soft texture with a dusty and crumbly consistency; the soil matrix is also characterized by the presence of sand, grass and roots. It is brownish in colour. f 185 ;df st ds f185 has been assigned to five floating limestones in k15: f185.1, f185.2, f185.3, f185.4, f185.5. f 185.1 df st ds f185 is a large floating limestone located in the N area of k15 (r502, r503, r504, r505, gv88, gv88a) f 185.2 df st ds is a large floating limestone located in the E area of k15 (r506, r507, r508, gv88, gv88a). f 185.3 df st ds is a large floating limestone (r513) sitting on top of f195, the S baulk of k15. f 185.4 df st ds is a large floating limestone (r514) located in the S baulk of k15 (f195). f 185.5 df st ds is a large floating limestone (r502, r503, r504, r505) located in the middle of the E baulk of k15 (f195) f 186 df ad ds f186 is a natural accumulation on the pedestal of the stones f185.1 and f185.2 in k15. The top surface (right below the stones) has a medium soft texture, while the pedestal in itself has a crumbly texture, soft and fine, that once dried, rubbs off. f186 abuts (and it is the same of) f168 and f195 (the S baulk of k15). ;co light brown f 187 ;df ad ds accumulation in k23 under the topsoil f184. The soil is compact and crumble and contains grass and roots; when dry it rubs off and present a dusty texture. f 188 ;df ad ds f188 has been assigned to the south-eastern area of k4 (250 cm E and 200 cm N from r509 and 200 cm N from m4084 and 600 cm E from m4084) and to the north baulk of k5 (gv91, gv91a). Here the soil is characterized by a coarse crumby structure and by the presence of broken bricks that give to the area a brown-reddish coloration. The feature is actually characterized by different shades of brown (i.e. yellowish brown, graysh brown). While excavating f188, the soil disintegrated into particles of different dimensions (aprox. Between 6-7cm and 2-3cm) and the consistence is generally medium-soft. f188 abuts f189, located on the south-western area of k4 (200 cm W and 200 cm N from r509): the upper boundary between them is sharp. ;co# 10YR 6/4 co yellowish brown ;co# 7.5 YR 5/6 co strong brown ;co# 10YR 4/2 co dark graysh brown f 189 ;df ad ds f189 has been assigned to the south-western area of k4 (200 cm W and 200 cm N to r5090) and to the north baulk of k5 (gv91, gv91a). The feature is characterized by a hard surface and it has a crumble structure, probably due to the presence of little pebbles (characterized by different dimensions, generally about 0,2cm and 1,0cm in diameter); when dry it rubs off as loose fine powder and blow away easily. f189 is white and gray in color. f189 abuts f188 (on the eastern area of r509, at almost the same elevation): the upper boundary between them is sharp. f189 is the same of f181. ;co# 10 YR 8/2 co white ;co# 7/1 co light gray f 190 ;df ad ds f190 is a natural accumulation in the E baulk of k14. It is characterized by the presence of very hard surfaces alternated to layers characterized by a crumb and sandy loam texture (what remain of water deposit). Once picked, f190 assume a blocky and platy structure, depending on which is the surface excavated. The layers characterized by a crumb texture disintegrated into a incoherent structure, while the water deposits (characterized by a sandy loam texture) assumed a platy structure which are very hard in consistence and are characterized by the presence of little pebbles (of thiny dimensions, i.e. 0,1cm to 0,3cm). It is grayish in color. f190 is the same of f162, and being the E baulk of k14 abuts f162.; ;co# 7.5 YR 7/1 co light gray f 191 ;df stone ds f191 has been assigned to one large floating stone on the E baulk of k15 f 193 ;df ad ds accumulation in k15 that cover the whole area. The feature is characterized by a very soft, fine and loose texture, by a dusty consistence. In general the feature is characterized by a loose fine powder that rubs off and the soil matrix is rich in thiny stones. It is gray in color. It is the same of f168 (above it). ;co# 10YR 7/1 co light gray f 195 df ad ds f195 is a natural accumulation in the S baulk of k15. It is characterized by a hard and compact texture with a fine, dusty and crumbling consistence; it is graysh in colour. It abuts f168 and it is the same of f168. f 197 df ad ds f197 is a natural accumulation in k14 that covers almost the whole unit (it does not extend in the NE corner of k14 where another feature number have been assigned, f198). It is characterized by a brownish colour and by a fine clay and sandy texture. It is below f162 and it is similar to f162 (we could say that f197 is a transitional feature between f162 and f150 (located in k4 at almost the same elevation of f197) because, as well as f162, its matrix is charachterized by a concentration of little pebbles (which are all of the same dimensions, aproximately 0.1 - 0,2 cm in diameter), that may indicate that we are still in front of a water deposit (situation that characterized all this area in the previous features). But, the texture (very fine), the color (brownish) and the nature of the soil (sandy and clayish) differ completely from f162. ;co# 7.5 YR 5/4 ;co# 7.5 YR 4/3 co brownish
