It is brownish in color. c# 10YR 6/3 co pale brown f 270 ;df ad ds f270 is the pedestal of the stone f127.1 f127.2 f127.3 in k14. It is characterized by a very hard and compact consistence (it is a bricky melted accumulation) and by a very fine texture; it is brown in color. f 271 ;df ad ds f271 is the accumulation in the pedestal of one floating limestone (f151) in k4. nr once f151 has been removed we discover that this feature consist of just one big stone, and not of two as first thought (its irregular shape give the impression that there were two stones). f 274 ds f274 is a large floating limestone on f263 in k24. f 275 ;df ad ds f275 is the pedestal of stone f274 in k24. It is characterized by a very soft consistence and by a fine texture; it is brown in color. It is the same as f252, the accumulation below the topsoil in k24. A1 f252 f 277 ;df ad ds f277 is a natural accumulation in k5. It has a crumble texture, a medium hard consistence, and it is characterized by the presence of several pebbles and lots of pottery sherds. It is brown in colour. c# 10 YR 7/2, 10 YR 7/1 co light brown f 286 ;df ad ds f286 (v123, v123a) is a natural accumulation in k4. It is very fine in texture (clayish), very compact but soft in consistence (when crushed with the big pick it assume a plate structure) and is characterized by the presence of charcoals, which are spread in all the surface where f286 has been individuated. It is brown in colour. It is very similar to f150, also located in k4. f 288 ;df w ds f288 is a wall running E-W in k4 (below wall f224). It consist of 6 large limestones. f 289 ;df ad ds f289 has been assigned to the accumulation (located within the section) under wall f288. It is characterized by a very fine texture and compact consistence. f289 abuts f127 (on the east). It is light brown in color, while dry it assume a grayish coloration. c# 7.5 YR 5/2 co grayish brown f 290 ;df ad ds f290 has been assigned to the accumulation located N of wall f288. It is characterized by a very fine texture and compact consistence, and by the presence of ash (in the SE corner where the feature abuts the wall f127). f 293 ;df ad ds f293 has been assigned to the accumulation located N of the wall f288. It is characterized by a very fine texture and by a compact consistence; it presents a plastic consistence (when wet and/or dry). It is light brown in color, while dry it assume a grayish coloration. ;c# 7.5 YR 5/2 ;co grayish brown tc ab f288 f 295 ;df lb ds f295 has been assigned to a layer characterized by a very fine texture (clayish), by a compact and soft consistence. ;c# 2.5 YR 5/2 f 296 ;df ad ds f296 has assigned to the accumulation of the pseudo baulk located in the eastern area of k4. A1 f150 C4 It is the same as f150 since it belongs to this feature; we decide to leave a baulk between the two squares in order to avoid contamination in the collection of the pottery f 298 ;df pt ds f298 has assigned to a rectangular-shaped pit in the north-eastern area of k4 which measures 63x82 cm. f 299 ;df fi ds f229 has assigned to the fill of pit f298. The soil is very soft in consistence, clayish (due to the presence of melted bricks) and, because of the presence of bricky debris, is crumble in texture; the fill also includes lots of little stones and some ashes and burnt barely seeds. ac The bottom of the pit does not correspond to the real bottom of the feature, because the workmen over-excavated it; for this reason we found, within the fill of the pit, a thick layer of ash containing lots of burnt barely seeds (which we collected in order to be analyzed); this layer has been lately exposed in the whole square (k4). f 300 ;df pt ds f300 has assigned to a pit in the south-eastern area of k4. pr Being the pit cut not well defined, we artificially given to the pit a quadrangular shape. f 301 ;df fi ds f301 has assigned to the fill of pit f300 in k4. The soil, very soft in consistence, is clayish due to the presence of melted bricks and it is crumble texture, due to the presence of bricky debris; the fill includes also tiny stones and ashes and few burnt barely seeds, which have been collected in order to be analyzed. ac The bottom of the pit does not correspond to the real bottom of the feature, since the pit have been over excavated from the workmen; for this reason, within the fill of the pit we found a thick layer of ash containing lots of burnt barely seeds (which we collected in order to be analyzed); this layer has been lately exposed in the whole square (k4). .ed S218 .ei pC f 263 sm accumulation below f252
