It is near other burials and we thought we might hit a modern burial, but intead have found a wall. It may be Khabur based on initial pottery analysis. It is also the same elevation as other Khabur walls. We enlarged the size of the pit so the wall would not be disturbed by the tower. gb decided it would be better not to do a trench in k27 to see how far the circle goes down. Excavation has ceased for this season. v 223 E gk29 gf403 pit for tower 223a W E gk29 gf403 224 OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224a OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224b OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224c OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224d OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224e OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 224f OV ga32 gk27,28 Tower photo 225 E gk27 gf372 Aurochs bone 225a W E ga32 gk27 gf372 Aurochs bone f 402 29 ts m2989 m2989-85 M922 403 29 w m2989-50 .rd M921 q 1010 sm 391 26 r730 30E 40S 8159 10 no pottery 1011 sm 389 26 r731 15E 15S 8241 78 81 Thin section sample 26, no pottery 1012 sm 389 26 r732 15E 15S 8241 78 81 Thin section sample 25, no pottery 1013 sm 398 27 r733 15E 15S 8217 98 100 Thin section sample 28, no pottery 1014 sm 398 27 r734 15E 15S 8217 98 100 Thin section sample 27, no pottery 1015 sm 399 27 r735 15E 15S 8156 91 100 Thin section sample 30, no pottery 1016 sm 399 27 r736 15E 15S 8156 91 100 Thin section sample 29, no pottery .rd M922 1017 p 402 29 r737 100E 100S m2989 50 Pit for tower 1018 pb 402 29 r738 100E 100S m2989 50 30 associated with f403 1019 p 402 29 r739 100E 100S m2989 80 k 29 r741 100S 100E Meter square pit dug for tower.
