Dump

Ceramic production was an important industry during the Khabur period. At least 4 extant kilns were recorded during the excavation, all in k13. The waste material, including ash, kiln waste and sherds from the kilns was dumped to the west and found in k13, just below. Some of the features that noted such waste are f41, f100, f103, f128, and f129. They were not consolidated into an aggregate but clearly comprised a dump.

Pits

There were 11 pits excavated. Most were shallow with fills containing a vaiety of waste materials. One was unusual in that a late Khabur pit, a11, was dug on top of an earlier pit, a55, which was probably dug in the Isin Larsa/Ur III period.
