Consrvation of the built environment in A16 has been essentially of a protective nature: the Palace courtyard pavement of gthe Akkadian period was simply backfilled, and the tombs in the Khabur period levels were covered without any attempot to make visible (unlike the walls in Palace). Azccordingly, there is no entry about it in this section.
An extensive treatment has instead been given of the ojects. This was at the hand of a conservator, who also worked in the field as an excavator.
