The stones vary considerably in size and shape, comprising roughly dressed rectangular blocks with flat faces as well as irregular undressed stones. A line of smaller, rough stones (J4f148) was found resting on top of the wall. In its western portion, the wall appear to be disturbed, with some larger gaps between the stones. In contrast, in the eatern portion is well preserved, with the stones carefully aligned and more regular in shape and dimensions. The presence of flat, angular stones suggests that some may have been reused from a staircase. The wall follows the same orientation and alignment as the underlying JP^wall3. However, no physical relationship between the two walls could be observed. The wall was reused as base for the mudbrick walls of JP^bin1. ht 20cm wd 1m lg 4m el 9082 bottom el 9104 top or E-W nv elevations and measurements are taken from measured drawings wm lime stone B13 East of staircase flank JP^wall2 sz 70x50x20, 20x30x10 cm nm size of stones medium and small sh rectangular and square, irregualr cn the western half has been removed during excavation I3 Mittani I10 covers Mittani levels M1 delimit an area, secondary used as base for mudbrick walls of JP^bin1 A35 L_W22d9618 J06w045 T731 sD.jpg A35 L_V19d3259 J4v96 Qx10 sC.jpg F99 abuts JP^wall2 ^ wall20 >l J6f84 sm curtain wall df wall ds A single line of 7 medium and small sized stones with a SE-NW orientation. The upper row is composed of medium-sized angular stones with relatively smooth faces, together with smaller undressed stones, all set in mud mortar. The wall is oriented east–west. The upper row lies at the same top elevation as JP^wall4 and consists of a linear arrangement of medium- and small-sized rough stones. It represents a later construction phase built directly above an earlier wall. The underlying wall is composed of a row of medium- to large-sized undressed stones. The medium-sized stones are set upright, while smaller stones and mud mortar were used to fill the wider joints. The wall has partially collapsed to the south, where several loose stones were recovered. A deposit of mudbrick collapse lies immediately south of the wall. It is therefore possible that this wall was constructed to retain or delimit the debris accumulated on its southern side. ht 60 cm wd 60 cm lg 3 m el 8926 top of upper row (J2f224) el 8865 top of lower row (J2f228) el 8707 bottom or E-W nv elevations and measurements are taken from the sigle features wm lime stone B13 in front and parallel to revetment JP^wall6, set perpendicular to staircase JP^wall4 B20 20 sz 60x50, 30x30 cm nm medium and small stones I3 early Mittani I10 cuts into EDIII layers, is covered by early Mittani layers M1 delimit and protect the area to the north, between revetment JP^wall6 A35 L_V22d2029 J2v161 T728 dM.jpg A35 L_V22d2015 J2v153a T721 dM.jpg A35 L_V18d2107 J2v115 P829 dM.jpg ^ wall26 >l J6f101 >l J6f128 ds 15 stones located on top and immediately in front of JP^wall2. Although the stones are not arranged in regular courses, the structure is solidly built. The spaces between the stones are filled with soil containing abundant pottery sherds and small pebbles. Several of the stones are irregular, roughly dressed rectangular blocks, probably reused from staircase steps. Two stones belonging to the same structure had been removed during the excavation of Trench C2 (C2 Inst. 994), where a large stone block and a smaller associated stone at the same elevation were recorded. df wall ht 1-2 m wd 1-2 m lg 2.30 m el 9042 bottom el 8982 top or E-W nv elevations and measurements are taken from measured drawings and from single features wm lime stone B13 on top and south of JP^wall2 B20 15 sz 100x70x35 60x60x30 25x40x20 nm size of stones large, medium and small I3 Mittani I10 covers Mittani layers M1 memory of JP^wall2 A35 L_V21d5129 J6v48g S809 dM.jpg Q4 same as C2 Inst. 994: Bianchi et. al. 2014, 109
