Description (summary) 2003-09-06 jw roughly rectangular stone block with wide, deep hole in the largest flat side that suggests the it most likely served as a doorsocket. The hole would have been deep enough to hold the door vertically along the turning axis. The hole is filled with hard mortar, suggesting reuse as building material. [Input: NX16JW.j]
