This measurement is specifically for one of the bricks observed in the section. The accumulation itself in section is both 7.5YR7/4, pink, and 7.5YR7/2, pinkish-gray. Finally, earth from the excavation area was, in order, 5YR5/8, yellowish red, 10YR5/3, brown, and 7.5YR6/4, light brown. .rd L716 -dy Cleaning the white layer f53 and taking pictures of it. Removing the plastic above the platform and digging the side of the pit in it. f 53 ds A very thin and not very compact white layer, resulting from the deterioration of organic material. It extends more or less over the whole area of the pit but in some points it is lost. It is at the same level as the drain f56. f 54 ds Same texture and hardness as f52. Brown-red, ashy, mixed fill. Same extension as f52 and f53. f 55 ds Big stones in the middle and in the south side of the pit, certainly related, although the two piles are not physically connected. Probably they come from the platform, f60, and this is a secondary use. Another possibility, however, is that they are linked to the drain, f56, instead. f 56 ds Drain, wich starts in the west side of the pit. Constituted by two big stones: the lower one worked as a basin, 43 cm high and 57 cm large; on this stone leans another one, which shows thick calcareous white concretions on the lower face. It measures at least 1 meter in length, as it is possible to look down the empty space between the two stones. f 57 ds Same kind of white layer as f53, but more compact and consistent. It extends over the whole pit. f 58 ds Fill below f57, same as f52 and f54. f 59 ds Pebbles and sherds layer in the west half of the the pit. It looks the same as the top of the platform in A12k6. f 60 ds Big stones visible below f58 in the east half and below f59 in the west half. They could be the first stone level of the earliest platform, the same platform as in A12k6. -dy Removing the plastic from the platform, we saw that there was another piece of plastic lower, so we decided to dig this backfill (in fact there was plastic, paper, etc) with the big pick. The lowest plastic was about at the same level as f58. 10 cm down, we found stones, just as in f60. When we achieved f59 level I would have liked to remove the stone in the middle of the pit and the fill below, in order to understand if f59 extends also in the east half of the pit or if there are more stones of f60, but gb decided not to dig more. We are wondering why the stones of f55 are at this level: presumably, their original position was lower (the same as f60 and the stone platform), but in fact they could also be linked to the drain-f56, since the level is the same. .rd L714 .ri jl q 175 pbi 52 1 wf m2581 0 239 .ri rd 176 pb 52 1 wf m2581 0 245 .ri ed 177 pbi 52 1 wf m2581 0 255 .ri rd 178 pb 52 1 wf m2581 0 262 .rd L715 .ri jl 179 pbi 52 1 wf m2581 0 267 5 .ri ed 180 pb 52 1 wf m2581 0 279 181 pb 53 1 wf m2581 0 297 182 i 56 1 not dug as a normal q-lot .rd L716 183 pbi 54 1 wf m2581 0 298 10 Digging together f53 and f54 184 pi 58 1 wf m2581 0 310 Digging together f57 and f58 .rd L717 185 pb 1 1 east baulk 8578 39 Digging together f1 and f39 186 pb 39 1 east baulk m2603 150 60 Previous bag full.
