-eq need more wheelbarrows.  Will be purchased in the next day or so.  Need tents for shade from the sun-workman effiency diminished greatly as the day progressed.  Promised tomorrow.

-so installed additional guard-ropes to protect workmen in A14 from inadvertantly walking under dirt train moving overhead from A17/A18.

-dy opened two new squares (k5,k15) and removed the backfill from a previously-excavated part of k22.  Cleared accumulated seasonal deposits from k4 and k3, left uncovered after the MZ16 excavation season.

dy cleaning revealed some evidence for a burial in the east baulk of k22.  We will explore this tomorrow.

dy removed the topsoil, f163 and part of the first layer beneath, lamininations, f169.  No evidence for occupational installations.

k 5
dy removed the topsoil, f164, and part of the underlying laminations, f167.  Encountered small installation of stones, f168, and a thin layer of burned soil, f170.

No sign of containment or the sandy varve-like min-layers that signify such.  Significant amounts of sherds indicate possible out-wash from major gully sloping up to the east.
