-wk Five new removal personnel reported, raising the total to 28.  Immediately detailed 2 to work with SabaH Kassem to install the A18/A17 spoils train.

-sf dc joined the staff this morning.  Although she will be primarily responsible for work in A12, she will spend today re-familiarizing herself with A14 and routine data recording and analysis procedures.  jw spent one hour before breakfast at home entering data for the surveyor and other computer work.

-sy surveyor visited unit to discuss need for markers.  jw suggested that we will soon need markers in the E baulks of many squares.  She will have to install a new survey reference point to the W of A14 to see all of the proposed locations for these markers.

-mk  markers m3422, m3460, and m3461 loosened and removed.

-sg gb, fab, jo, dc, gm and jw discussed progress from yesterday and how to use it to best accomplish our overall goal of defining the sacral precinct and understanding the changes in use over time.

-dy covered sherd and stone surfaces, f230 in k15 and f233 in k25 with plastic to reduce the chances of cross-contamination caused by excavation and dirt removal.
