Part of it was located in k3 and was inadvertently excavated. In fact, we first noticed the chamber in section of the east face of the east baulk of k3. Moving from west to east, it curves upward, to a lip, and the heat and draft created in the chamber would carry into the main body of the kiln. tc cu f331 f 368 df cut ds cut for a firing chamber on the northeast side of pit kiln, a31, located in the middle of the south baulk of k13. It seems to be built more or less horizontally and the heat and draft created in the chamber would carry SW into the main body of the kiln. tc cu f56 f 369 df pt-c ds cut for a pit located in the SW corner of the expanded west baulk of k13. tc cu f56 f 370 df pt-c ds cut for a pit located in the NW corner of the expanded west baulk of k13.
