.bk A15 .fl N729ms.j .fd daily journal N729 .ed N729 .ei ms .rd N729 .ri ms -dy ms spent much of the day drawing section of n baulk of k13 and k13 prior to tearing it down. Muhammad Omo assemble protection for a34 in k5. We covered it with bags of dirt, then built up the perimeter with cement blocks. Then put a layer of poles across the blocks and covered it all with a sheet of hard plastic. This should protect the jars during baulk removal. k 5 dy finished removing last remnants of f390 and removed part of a f443. Nothing special of note in this area. k 15 dy continued going down in trench, f426. Uncovered a layer of stones and sherds in s edge of trench. This is f454. To the w of the trench, we finished removing accumulation f439 without any noticeable differentiation and continued going down with new feature f444. This is also a homogeneous accumulation but we noticed the start of an ashy layer near the northern edge and adjacent to f433. The ashy layer is f450. We followed f450 to the south a have uncovered what may be a floor, f451. This was at the end of the work day so we will examine more closely tomorrow. k 14 dy continued removing f430 and it still seems to be the last remnants of kiln accumulation. The red bricky areas of f433 do not seem to extend any further than already seen in section. Continued removing what's left of f420 in the rest of the locus to come down to f442 all over. k 13 dy also removing what is left of kiln waste, f420. Finished cleaning out kiln f421 as there was just a little left in the bottom of the kiln. We have some remnants of the kiln area buildup throughout the locus and we are removing these to be completely done with the waste. We have alse cut back some of the western section which is two years old to see if we can get a sense of what is going on. Will examine further tomorrow.
