.bk A15 .fl N731ms.j .fd daily journal N731 .ed N801 .ei ms .rd N731 .ri ms -dy each morning will will uncover the jar installation, a34 so that the photographer can document how we are coming down in k15 and uncovering the room on that side, we hope. ms mapped more of A15 to include old installations of MZ14. Began laying out squares to ne, A17. k 5 dy we removed more dirt from f443. This location is still very unclear. We have some bricky material and some fill but no accumulation or direct connection with wall, f387 on the e side of the pit f394. We, jw and ms, have decided to keep removing the material under f443 and come down on the current accumuation, f435 and attempt to define the possible pise wall, f423. Will continue here on Saturday. k 15 dy continued working slowly in the trench, f426 but with no new material found. We also finished removing the accumulation f444 s of the ashy material, f450 and red surface below f451. This accumulation had no special features but now that it is removed we are able to follow the ashy layer more cleanly. We will excavate this first thing on Saturday so it will be visible in the daily picture. It is seen in the e section of the trench but does not seem to run very far to the s. We outlined a pit in what is left of the baulk and cleaned this out. The cut of the pit is f460 and the fill is f459. This was seen clearly in the e section of k5, although it was not noticed during excavations in k5 in MZ14. gb states this may be part of the huge gray accumulation he was trying to find the boundary for. We have cleaned most of it out but have been careful because it is adjacent to the jar installation, a34 in k5. k 14 dy finished removing f438 accumulation to come down onto bricky accumulation, possible wall, f457. This area is very important because it may show how the possible cut of the kiln waste pit into phase 2 walls. The red bricky area of f457 seems so contain, to the south, the kiln material. So we have phase 5 cutting into phase 2 walls, if it follows through this way. Again, it is very important that we go down slowly n of this cut to find as much information as possible. jw had a corner cut out of sw corner of f422 to see if anything was visible. Nothing is seen. k 13 dy continued and probably finished removing what is left of f420, kiln waste. This is left in the n portion of the locus. Now coming down onto brown material, and we are unsure if this is the same as f442 because it is much lower. While scraping f442 some possible bricks, possible wall, were uncovered. This if f462. There is no section visible but we will remove bricks from inside the kiln, a30 to see if anything can be seen. Still have higher elevations throughout this locus of the end of kiln material merging with f442. This needs to be removed then we can remove the rest of the material uniformly.
